Little humans kept me so busy that I didn’t have a headspace, willingness or even motivation to sew. Well I have a unfinished indigo dress, hopefully will finish it over the weekend.
So here are some lovely cottons, with all the paisley. These are good lengths and I got them for like £8 each from vinted. The purple one with blue paisley I want to make into a dress with statement sleeves.
Thinking this from Fibre Mood magazine! I won’t be making a belt tie as I don’t like these. Sleeve construction looks a little complicated but if I don’t try anything new I will never learn new things!
The khaki colour fabric was from a de-stash from one of the sewers via Instagram and the fun stripe fabric is vintage something from Vinted again. I wanted to make shirred dress from the pink and blue following Rosery Apparel YouTube tutorial… but I never got around to it. And sewing summer dresses in colder months kind of not fun. As for the khaki fabric I am not sure but I love the colour!
Ah and these beautiful colourful fabrics are from lovely Fleur et Ours. I went on the website to look for Halloween inspiration …. Well safe to say it didn’t go well. No immediate plans for these. But once my sew jo is back I will think of something!
I also just subscribe to Love Sewing magazine and as part of my subscription I got two lovely books for free! The Sewing Bee book by Juliet Uzor and Wendy Ward book.
Some projects in these books are so me!!
But I also want to make… this lovely skirt. I don’t actually have many. And I really started wearing separates after having Grayson…. Also friend I would love this book, Serena Sews, in case anyone wants to give me a present.
And I also recently got a bunch of vintage fabrics form Ebay, it’s a crazy bundle and some will be used for toils. It was a massive box paid more for postage than items. So there was this cerise stiff wool kind of thing with mesh on the wrong side, I have no idea what this fabric is..
But I want to make this cardigan from love sewing mag
Maybe it will work maybe it will not. You don’t know until you try! With this cardigan I m hoping to try sewing new fabric and tackle buttons. …
Oh and I want to have a go at making pants!
