Month has passed

It’s been a month or there about since I last posted…
Well I lost my sewing space for a little while. I tend to to get my everything done in the dining room. But we had downstairs bathroom redone and well now we have a spare bath (long story) in the dining room… and my motivation is gone a little again.

I though stitching and knitting show in Ally Pally will get me inspired, I did plan to go since summer. Oh precious time alone and with like minded people. … well I couldn’t go. I had one day, Thursday when hubby was off so he could have the kids, he was back to work then. But the train strike was in full swing on Thursday and trains didn’t run until midday so by the time I would have got to London from Cardiff …

Made me a little sad… well no a lot disappointed.
I am glad I didn’t rush to make an outfit for the occasion. I watched some vloggers who had plans to make something for the occasion. I did try but with no sewing space and pressure I thought why am I so stressed about this when I can just wear anything I made before! I was gonna wear my summer dress with long sleeve top underneath

But also I had an indigo by Tilly and the buttons almost finished…. I was going to choose on the day. But. I stayed home instead.

Basically motivation a little lacking at the moment. Mainly since I have so many other things to do and feel so tired by the end….

But speaking of my Indigo dress. I only had hems left. Everything was pressed in place and pinned.

Kitten was always trying to help but my older son was so curious. So I let him pull the pins out and put them back into a pin cushion. He was over the moon. And after we were done he just kept going back to the machine and giving me the meaningful look. He is no verbal but the way he looked at machine and at me was like “and what are you doing not sewing?!” So I made these to stitch up in next few days

All the materials are from my craft stash. And the stuffing is little of cuts and left overs cut out in small pieces. Think they look rather fun and big boy might enjoy again pulling pins out for me and maybe even stuffing them or/and making stuffing.

As for my indigo dress in supper happy yellow thrifted fabric, thank you Vinted, stay tuned! And maybe check out my Instagram in few days @verysmallfeet
